The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) states that there were over 52,000 secondary teachers in Ohio in 2009, and their average salary was $54,070. However, the top ten percent earned over $78,370. Of course, these top Ohio teacher salaries come with higher levels of teacher training and more seniority.
