In Utah, if you currently hold a valid teaching certification from a state participating in the NASDTAC agreement, you may be eligible to receive a Reciprocal Teaching Certification in Utah.The following are the requirements and procedures you must take in order to apply for your reciprocal teaching certification.

Follow the instructions for downloading appropriate documents required for an Out-of-State application for certification.

Complete the appropriate Praxis examinations required for teachers in your subject area. Find information on the ETS website.

Provide Official Transcripts with your application.

Include a fee of $75 by check or money order made payable to the "Utah State Office of Education"

Verify your Educator Experience with the help of out-of-state employing school district.

Provide front and back copies of your valid teaching certification.
- For new graduates from a teacher education program, complete an Institutional Recommendation.
