Download the renewal form:
- If you are applying for your first Professional Certification, check the appropriate box in section B.
- If you are renewing your Professional Certification, check the appropriate box in section C.

You will need to attach your CEE along with the application packet.

Attach documentation verifying employment from your employing school district.
- Write and get approved a 5 year Individual Development Plan (I-Plan).
- Your Professional Certification may be renewed upon the successful completion of your I-Plan.
The Certificate of Eligibility for Employment (CEE) is valid for three years and may be renewed until employment is secured.
After employment is secured, you will need to apply for a Rhode Island Professional Certificate which is valid for 5 years.
The following are the requirements that must be fulfilled to receive your initial professional certificate as well as renew that certificate successfully.
