Steps to renewing your certification:
If you were certified under the Intern Certification, your certification is valid for 3 years and is not renewable. You will need to have completed your teacher education program during these three years and have applied for an Instructional I Certificate.
The Instructional I certificate is not renewable either. This certification is valid for 6 years of service. During this time, the teacher is expected to complete all requirements and professional development courses needed to earn your Instructional II Certification. For more information, contact the Pennsylvania Bureau of Teacher Certification and Preparation at (717) 787-3356
