Steps to becoming a teacher in Oregon:
If you hold a valid teaching certification from any state, you may be eligible to apply for an Oregon Transitional Teaching Certification. This certification is valid for 3 years.
You will need to contact the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission and have them send an application packet.
After receiving your application, you will receive a letter indicating all requirements needed for you to become qualified for a standard Oregon teaching certification.
