New York Teacher Reciprocity:

  • Receiving a New York Teaching Certification

  • If you are currently residing in another state and have completed a teacher preparation program, there are two main options you have for receiving a New York Teacher Certification.

    If you have at least three years of teaching experience OR, have completed a teacher preparation program and received a comparable certification from a state with a reciprocity agreement with New York, you are eligible to apply for a New York Conditional Teaching Certification.
