New Jersey Teacher Reciprocity:
If you are currently residing in another state and have completed a teacher preparation program, there are two main options you have for receiving a New Jersey Teacher Certification.
If you do not have at least one year of teaching experience, apply for a Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS). If you can verify at least one year of teaching experience, apply for a Standard New Jersey Certification. The following are the requirements and procedures for earning your CEAS and a Provisional Teaching Certification in New Jersey:
