Renewing a Nevada Teaching Certification:

• Nevada Teacher Certification Renewal
The following is the procedure for a Nevada Teacher Certification Renewal.


• Complete a Renewal Application
• Attach Official Transcripts or Copies of Certificates of CEU's completion.
• Include an $80 application processing fee by check or money order made payable to the "Nevada Department Of Education".
• Complete the Child Support Disclosure Form.


The following are lengths of renewal depending on education level of the applicant.


• With a Bachelor's Degree, a certification is valid for 5 years.
• With a Master's Degree and 3 years of teaching experience, a certification is valid for 6 years.
• With a Specialist Degree and 3 years of teaching experience, a certification is valid for 8 years.
• With a Doctoral degree and 3 years of teaching experience, a certification is valid for 10 years.
