Reciprocity for Teachers in Nevada:
- Receiving a teaching certification in Nevada

Complete the Initial Nevada Licensure Application Form.

You must hold a valid certificate or license in your previous state of residence while applying for a Nevada Certification.

You must have at least a Bachelor's Degree.
- Provide a photocopy of your valid out-of-state teacher certification.

You must meet all competency test requirements (see competency requirements under the Initial Nevada Teacher Certification)

You must have taught for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
- You will need to complete Fingerprint Cards and the Fingerprint Authorization Form which can be found in the application packet. Order Fingerprint cards by calling (702) 486-6458.
- Complete the Child Support Form (located in the application packet).
- Have the Verification of Teaching Experience Form completed (located in the application packet).
- Provide Official Transcripts of all coursework completed.
- Provide an application processing fee of $155 by check or money order, made payable to the "Nevada Department of Education".
