• Satisfy Human Relations Requirements by submitting official transcripts, or by verifying acceptable employment experience and writing a narrative describing your knowledge of the 6 essentials skills of a Nebraska Teacher.
• Pay Indicated Fees.

• Advance your Certification to a Standard or Professional Certification
In order to receive a Standard certification, you will need to complete a certain amount of teacher education. Particular classes must be taken and it is best to contact the NDE to make sure courses are approved. The Standard Nebraska Certification is valid for 7 years.

In order to receive your Professional Nebraska Certification, you will need to complete a Masters program at an approved Teacher Education Institution.
