Mississippi Teacher Reciprocity:

  • Mississippi Out-of-State Teacher Certification Procedure:

  • If you are currently residing in another state and have completed a teacher preparation program, you may be eligible for a Mississippi Teacher Certification.

    The following are requirements and steps to be taken in order to apply for a Mississippi Teacher Certification as an out-of-state candidate.

    • 5-year Mississippi Reciprocity License:

    • 2-year Mississippi Reciprocity License:
      If your valid credentials are not comparable to the Mississippi 5-year license, you may still be eligible for a 2-year non-renewable Mississippi Reciprocity License.

      Requirements for the 2-year licensure are the same as for the 5-year licensure stated above.
