Mississippi Teacher Reciprocity:

Mississippi Out-of-State Teacher Certification Procedure:

If you are currently residing in another state and have completed a teacher preparation program, you may be eligible for a Mississippi Teacher Certification.

The following are requirements and steps to be taken in order to apply for a Mississippi Teacher Certification as an out-of-state candidate.

5-year Mississippi Reciprocity License:
- Complete an application for a Mississippi Teaching License.
- Provide Original Transcripts of all college coursework completed.
- Provide an Original, valid out-of-state teaching license (photocopies are not acceptable).

2-year Mississippi Reciprocity License:

If your valid credentials are not comparable to the Mississippi 5-year license, you may still be eligible for a 2-year non-renewable Mississippi Reciprocity License.

Requirements for the 2-year licensure are the same as for the 5-year licensure stated above.
