Massachusetts Teacher Reciprocity
If you have a valid teaching certification from another state, you may be eligible for a Massachusetts Teaching Certification through reciprocity agreements.
You will either need to complete an Application Online, or download an application packet to be sent through regular mail.
The following are the requirements for an out-of-state candidate to receive a Massachusetts Licensure:

The following are the requirements for an out-of-state candidate to receive a Massachusetts Licensure:

You will need to have completed an approved teacher education program or successfully completed 3 years of professional teaching.

If you have passed the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) Exams, then you may be eligible for the Massachusetts Initial Licensure.

If you have not completed the MTEL exams, then you may be awarded a 1-year Temporary Licensure. During the 1-year period you will have to pass the MTEL exams in order to receive your Initial Massachusetts Teaching Licensure.
