Renewing your Maryland Teacher Certification:

• You will need to complete Maryland renewal requirements within the 5-year life of your Maryland Teaching Certification.
• Complete at least 6 Credits from an approved college or university or Maryland's Continuing Professional Development Credits.
• If currently employed, your renewal application is processed by your employing school district.
• If you are not currently employed at a Maryland School District, you will have to send a cover letter with you name, mailing address and social security number, Official Transcripts of earned credits and a $10 processing fee.
