Maryland Teacher Reciprocity

If you have a valid teaching certification from another state, you may be eligible for a Maryland Teaching Certification through reciprocity agreements.

Submit the following in an application packet that will be sent to the Maryland Department of Education:
  • Official Transcripts from all baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate coursework completed.
  • Photocopy of your valid out-of-state professional teaching certification.
  • A cover letter with your name, mailing address, social security number and the area of certification you are applying for.
