Renewing your Kentucky certification:
The following are requirements for Kentucky teacher certification renewal.
- First 5-year Renewal:

Complete application form TC-2.

Complete 15 graduate hours or half the Kentucky Continuing Education Option (CEO) requirements.

Get the signature of the superintendent of your employing school district verifying 3 years of teaching experience.
- Provide Official Transcripts of credit completed
- Include a $50 processing fee in the form of money-order or certified check to the "Kentucky State Treasurer"
- Second 5-year renewal:
- Complete application form TC-2.

Complete approved Master's Program, OR fifth year program, OR CEO requirements.
- Get the signature of the superintendent of your employing school district verifying 3 years of teaching experience.
- Provide Official Transcripts of credit completed
- Include a $50 processing fee in the form of money-order or certified check to the "Kentucky State Treasurer"
- Subsequest 5-year Renewal

Complete 3 years of teaching experience or 6 semester hours of additional graduate credit.
- Include a $50 processing fee in the form of money-order or certified check to the "Kentucky State Treasurer"
