Steps to renewing your certification:
- Conditional Teacher Licensure Renewal

Download the renewal application Form 20 conditional renewal, Here.

Include a non-refundable application fee of $36 in the form of check or money order made payable to the Kansas State Department of Education.
- Comnplete 8 hours of graduate level credit, OR
- Complete 1 year of accredited experience, OR
- Retake content and pedagogy assessments required for initial conditional license.

Include a non-refundable application fee of $36 in the form of check or money order made payable to the Kansas State Department of Education.
- During the term of professional licensure, you will need to earn 120 professional development points awarded by a Kansas local professional development council under an approved individual development plan. OR
- Earn 160 professional development points awarded by a professional development council. 80 points must be toward college credit if candidate does not hold a graduate degree. OR
- Complete all components of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and receive a National Board Certification. OR
- Or apply for an Accomplished teaching license after achieving a National Board Certification.
The Kansas Conditional Teacher Licensure is valid for 2 years and may be renewed if you have not yet completed the requirements for a Professional Kansas Licensure.
If applying within five years of receiving your first conditional license, you may submit a new application with no additional requirements.

If you are wishing to renew your conditional licensure and more than five years have passed since the issuance of your first licence, than you will need to complete the following on top of the above fee requirements:
