Kansas Teacher Reciprocity

There are multiple avenues aimed toward putting you in the classroom. You will need all of the following requirements fullfilled:
  • You will need at least a bachelor's degree.
  • You will need to have completed an approved teacher preparation program.
  • Your GPA will need to have been kept above a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Recency- 8 credit hours or one year accredited teaching experience with need to have been completed within the last 6 years.
  • AND
  • You will need to have passed the content and pedagogy tests
    OR

  • obtain a two-year exchange license.
    OR

  • obtain a one-year non-renewable license if hired by a Kansas school district.
    OR
  • you may meet certain experience requirements and obtain a Kansas Professional License.
