Steps to becoming a teacher in Florida:
- Receiving a Florida Teaching Certification

You will need to fill out an online application as if you were requesting an initial teaching certification as a Florida resident. However, if your present certificate is comparable to the Florida Teaching Certificate for your subject, knowledge and professional mastery requirements may be waved.

You will need to forward the following documents:
- Official Transcripts
- Copies of out-of-state teaching certificates
- Any other applicable forms
