Steps to becoming a teacher in Delaware:

• Receiving a Delaware Teaching Certification
• You will need to fill out an online application as if you were requesting an initial teaching certification as a Delaware resident using the Delaware Educator Data System (DEEDS). However, you will not be required to pass the Praxis series tests.
• You will need to forward the following documents:
  • Official Transcripts
  • Copies of out-of-state teaching certificates
  • Any other applicable forms
