Steps to renewing your certification:
The Connecticut Initial Teacher Certification is valid for 3 years and may be renewed if you do not teach at least 10 months under an your Initial Educator Certification or you have not complete the BEST program.

Box 150471-Room 243 Hartford, CT. 06115-0471 If you have more Questions, Call (860)713-6969 If you have completed 10 months of successful teaching under the Initial Educator Certificate, the Interim Educator Certificate or Durational Shortage Area Permit, AND have completed the BEST program, you are qualified to apply for the Provisional Educator Certificate. OR you may also be qualified if you have completed 30 months of successful teaching experience. * The Provisional Educator Certificate is valid for 8 years.
