Connecticut Teacher Reciprocity
Connecticut does not have reciprocity with any other states; however, Connecticut has signed the NASDTEC Interstate Certification Contract (NICC). Therefore, applicants who qualify under the NICC will not need to meet specific coursework requirements.
The out-of-state teacher candidate will be issued an Interim Educator Certificate that is non-renewable unless:

The applicant has served for less than 10 months under the IEC

Or, the applicant has not completed the BEST program under the IEC
