Steps to renewing your certification:
- Initial Teacher Certification Renewal

Download the renewal application, Here.

Include a non-refundable application fee in the form of check or money order made payable to the Colorado Department of Education.

Complete the application with Oath and Consent form.
- Professional Teacher Certification Renewal
- Complete 6 semester hours of Continuing Teacher Education, OR 90 clock hours of Professional Development
- Download renewal application, Here.
- Include non-refundable application processing fee in the form of check or money order made payable to the Colorado Department of Education.
- Include Official Transcripts of the coursework you completed.
The Colorado Initial Teacher Certification is valid for 3 years and may be renewed more than once if you have not yet completed a teacher induction program.
