Arkansas Teacher Reciprocity
Arkansas recognizes all states for teacher licensure reciprocity. Teachers are able to apply for a 1-year Provisional Teaching License or a 5-year Standard Teaching License.

- 1-year Provisional Teaching License

Must have completed application. Download application or online application available, Here.

Attach Official Transcripts

Attach copy of current out of state teaching license

Attach copies of fingerprint card and application for Background Check. (License will not be issued until applicant has cleared BG Check conducted by the Arkansas State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation)
- 5-year Standard Teaching License

For a 5-year Standard Teaching License, you will need everything that a Provisional Teaching License applicant will need, as well as:

Documentation of satisfactory completion of required Praxis testing for the Standard Licensure.

Documentation of satisfactory completion of a 3-hr Arkansas History Course, OR

Documentation of 3-years of teaching experience.
